Nami is a Utrecht-based startup that helps organizations create positive social impact by telling authentic stories, crafted with insights from behavioral science. Nami is looking for a camera/editing intern with a talent for filmmaking and a passion for using this talent to drive positive change in our society. Do you see the power of the camera to tell compelling stories and have the ability to transform raw ideas into impactful videos or films? If so, you might be the one we’re looking for.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to dive deep into the world of filmmaking—from visually bringing stories to life with maximum impact to editing pieces that resonate. Your technical skills will blend seamlessly with your storytelling abilities. You’ll play a central role in our production process, assisting with camera, lighting, and sound on set, as well as with editing (and possibly grading and sound design). Alternatively, you may take on a project (together with our creative intern) that aligns perfectly with Nami’s mission.
Passion: A genuine desire to use your creative talents to contribute to positive societal change. You care about the world or see areas for improvement, and want to channel this into a positive, optimistic impact.
Visual storytelling: A passion for and understanding of how to convey stories through visual mediums.
Technical skills: Strong abilities in camera (assistance), lighting, sound, and editing.
Innovative: Always seeking new and innovative ways to capture and present stories, with a willingness to experiment and push creative boundaries.
Adaptability: Comfortable with the dynamic nature of production schedules and capable of responding to challenges with creative solutions.
Strong willingness to learn, without ego.
High degree of independence.
Fluent in Dutch and/or English. It is a significant advantage if you speak Dutch.
You live in or near Utrecht, but this is not a hard requirement.
Flexible mindset.
Available full-time (but we’re mostly very flexible with availability).
Internship starting from February 2025 (exact dates are negotiable).
